We have moved into the deep of winter, with the darkest day now behind us. While subtly at first, the light begins to rise higher in the sky each day bringing a sense of hope and promise for warmer days to come.
Capricorn season brings a sense of groundedness as we set the foundations for the year ahead. Creating structures that will support us to deepen our relationship to our inner world through strength, resilience and sovereignty.
Setting up the framework for what is wanting to be dreamt and birthed into existence as we move into this next cycle. Knowing that when we create a container, we can root deeper, rise higher and expand wider.
Moving into One Year
This initiation of the calendar year moves us into a new cycle in our numerological year.
Moving from a nine year of completion into a one year of beginnings. A time of setting new intentions, of change, of stepping more fully into who we are.
An independent and empowering year if we can have the courage to see the potential that is here for us. Sometimes this looks like moving in a whole new direction which can be discombobulating. Though what was released last year through the nine year paves the wave for something even beyond what we may be able to imagine.
One brings it back to the roots and our personal world. A year for self awareness and adaptability. Asking us to go within to listen and be led by this inner wisdom. Calling us forward in new and exciting ways.

January 3rd | Full Moon Cancer at 2:02am at 13°
The Full moon brings into the dance of polarities as the Sun and Moon oppose each other in the sky. The Sun in Capricorn meets the Moon in Cancer bringing insights around our relationships of structure and flow, earth and water, the father and the mother, the practical doer and the intuitive dreamer.
When the Full Moon is in Cancer, the moon is at home, as Cancer rules the moon. Connected to the archetype of the Mother, Nurturer and Caregiver, Cancer reminds us how to receive, to trust our intuition, and to surrender into softness. Inviting us to deepen around our connection to our family, our home, our feelings and our need to feel safe and protected.
As the maternal sign and nurturer of the Zodiac, Cancer has the tendency to overlook her own needs and focus on everyone else’s. At this Full Moon, we have a powerful opportunity to see where we may have been neglecting our own needs and how we can bring our life into balance through giving AND receiving and learning how to nurture ourselves as well as others.
As Cancer rules our emotions, we may feel this part of us heightened. Giving space for what may be surfacing to be felt so it can move through. January 6th | Venus meets in the Heart of the Sun at 16° Capricorn, 8:35am PST
Every nine months and twice within a 19 Month Cycle Venus meets in the Heart of the Sun. At this time in her cycle Venus is moving through a deep transformation as she transitions from Morning Star to Evening Star and vice versa.
Venus has been moving through her Underworld phase since late November, where she is no longer visible in the sky and calls us to remember the illuminating light within. A time of traversing the sacred dark so that we can rise with deeper presence in the cycle to come. Moving from her place in the pre-dawn light to rise again in the dusk sky.
When Venus meets the Sun, this is a time of release, transmutation and initiation as we move from one cycle to the next.
Taking with us what feels aligned and resonant and leaving the rest.
A time of transition as we forge boldly into the unknown, trusting in the unfolding and what is to come.

As Venus is connected to the Divine Feminine and Mars the Divine Masculine, when they come together to unite in the sky they invite us into sacred union within ourselves, with another and with all of life. Teaching us about relating and the relationships we hold dear to us.

Moving from grounded Cardinal Earth to intellectual Fixed Air. Taking the stable foundations that we have built through our relationships, connections and resources and allowing that to expand into the highest possibilities.
As Venus moves through the element of Air, we may be extra aware of our interactions with others. Inviting curiosity and connection into matters of the heart and our communication and conversations. Looking at our close relationships any areas that may need reassessment and review if things have felt misaligned. Giving ourselves permission to follow what makes us feel free and expansive.

The New Moon in practical Capricorn brings themes around grounding and strengthening our roots as we connect deep into the earth.
Capricorn connects us to the archetype of the wise elder or disciplined yet loving father who is willing to put the time and effort in to create the results they desire and support us to fulfill the dream we are wanting to build into reality.
Creating the structures that will support us to expand and radiate at our fullest expression and continue to seed this new way of being and co-creating together.
Knowing that from taking small steps and building the foundations that will support us then we can create the legacy that our soul is here to share.
This New Moon occurs in the depth of winter and for some it is when they start to set their goals and intentions for the new year to come. New Moons have been connected to new beginnings and intention setting for those who have followed the lunar cycles for millennia. Capricorn with its structure, grounded devotion and steadiness holds us as we listen to what is beckoning us forward and the seeds we are wanting to plant in the darkness. A calling in as we place rest and replenishment at the forefront so we can move forward.
This New Moon calls us to create sustainability that will support us for this year and years to come. The next New Moon in Aquarius ushers into the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Fire Horse.
